Players create an investigator or use the ready-to-play Dr. E. Woods, then navigate the story by choosing from presented options. These decisions shape the investigator’s fate, the lives of Esbury’s residents and visitors, and the future of the town. A pencil, roleplaying dice, and the Call of Cthulhu Keeper Rulebook or Starter Set are required.
