Battle Hymn Vol. 1: Gettysburg and Pea Ridge

This box contains two brigade-level simulations of Civil War battles that use a chit-pull activation system and detailed, step-reduction combat. Commands activate when their marker is drawn from the cup, then move and fight using traditional movement rules with unit types and strength-point steps that become demoralized or formed as they take losses. Combat plays in two phases with two rounds each, allowing retreats and advances to create fluid, miniatures-like engagements; the side with initiative chooses when to take its combat phase. Scenarios range from short one-hour episodes to full-day campaigns, and optional rules add hidden movement and greater combat randomness for more historical unpredictability or solitaire play.
