Battle of Britain

A tactical air-combat wargame set over the British Isles in 1940. One player fields RAF fighter squadrons to defend cities, airfields, industry and radar sites; the other controls Luftwaffe bomber formations and escort fighters aiming to complete bombing missions. Play revolves around allocating squadrons, plotting and resolving interception and escort missions, and managing resources such as fuel and unit losses. Streamlined dogfighting and fuel rules govern engagements, while scenarios range from short 1–2 hour encounters to a multi-hour campaign. Components include small-scale plastic airplane miniatures representing fighters and bombers; losses are not automatically replaced, so attrition and mission timing shape strategic choices.
