Boss Monster: The Dungeon Building Card Game

Players take the role of retro-style dungeon Lords competing to assemble a side-scrolling dungeon that lures and slays incoming Heroes. Each turn a player builds one room from hand, balancing treasure values that attract Heroes against the room’s damage that can kill them before they reach the Boss. Heroes arrive based on loot preferences, so room placement and face-down simultaneous builds create a bidding-style contest to attract specific Heroes. Instant Spells and disruptive effects alter builds, damage, or attraction, and Heroes that survive inflict Wounds on the Boss. The first Boss to collect ten Souls from defeated Heroes wins; a Boss that takes five Wounds loses.
