Breath of Fire

Set in an ancient world once joined as a single continent, the game portrays civilizations whose mastery of science and magic has poisoned the land and created a vast northern desert. Players take part in a world shaped by the failed effort to halt the spreading Desert of Death, as conflict and war disrupt the use of powerful machines.
