Dwergar

Players lead rival dwarf guilds working in a vast underground mine, harvesting stone, iron, gold, gems and a short-lived heat resource. On each turn players place workers into a shared system of slots and use a novel mining mechanism to gather resources, then spend those resources to fulfill architect orders represented by cards. Cards and completed actions score victory points over a fixed ten-round game; the highest-scoring guild wins. The rules are straightforward but the resource management and worker-placement choices create tactical depth and variable replay through event cards and multiple architect decks.

    2 Very nice idea! Theme is strong. At the end it's a ressource collecting to buy VP cards game. But with very nice mechanics. I really enjoyed it. Unfortunately a little bit multiplayer solitaire. But seriously, who playtested this? No one thought "oh the stone icons looks pretty similar to the silver ones"? And unfortunately the playerboards are very thin.
