Greatest Hits & Epic Misses

A supplemental ruleset for fantasy roleplaying games that replaces ordinary critical hit results with colorful, story-driven effects. When attacks succeed exceptionally well—or fail disastrously—players roll on tables that can inflict unusual conditions, alter the battlefield, or create memorable narrative twists. The effects are designed to work with Pathfinder’s existing combat rules without significantly changing its critical hit system, and include saving throws or other safeguards for especially severe results.
