A wargame-packed magazine issue centers on the Nations at War series with articles on its future, an upcoming title, and campaign strategies, plus four new scenarios covering Operation Market Garden and Operation Goodwood. Additional scenarios expand multiple series: the World at War modulette finishes its Southeast Asia mini-campaign with three scenarios and 33 new 5/8" counters; encounters feature British and Soviet reconnaissance near Bitterfeld and Swedish defenses south of Stockholm; two Honneur et Patrie scenarios stage a Belgian counterattack and a clash involving French, Soviet forces and an unexpected rogue antagonist; Heroes of the Gap adds scenarios in Bavaria and Libya; and a Space Infantry variant increases the threat from extraterrestrial foes. Included as a pull-out game is a historical tactical wargame recreating the September 20, 1854 Battle of the Alma in Crimea, letting players command Allied or Russian forces in period combat.
