Man O' War

Man O' War is a board game for 2–4 players. It plays in 180 minutes and is meant for ages 12 and up. Ludoya players call it best with 2.

Command fleets of fantasy warships in age-of-sail combat on a changing sea. Players pick fleets from the game’s races and field ships that are either squadrons of Ships of the Line, single powerful Men O’ War, or Independents, each represented by a template showing hull areas, weapons, masts and damage thresholds. Play resolves initiative and wind, then a magic phase where fleet wizards may cast and opponents may attempt dispels. The battle phase alternates activations: select a squadron or ship, move and make attacks, roll to hit specific ship locations and apply area-specific damage and saves. Scenarios, campaign rules, sea monsters, air units and allied or chaos fleets can expand play.
