Master of Orion: The Board Game

Players command one of several alien civilizations vying for dominance across a star cluster. On each turn, players manage resources, research technologies, expand to new star systems and build fleets. Conflict and diplomacy both matter: combat uses tactical fleet deployment while espionage and covert actions offer nonmilitary routes to influence. Multiple paths to victory exist through military conquest, scientific advancement, economic development and political maneuvering at the Galactic Council. The game emphasizes asymmetric faction abilities and engine-building progress as players steer their race toward supremacy.
