Players create characters by rolling four attributes and choosing a class, background, and alignment, then explore adventures, manage combat, and develop strongholds and dominions. Standard and extended rules support different levels of complexity, with optional mechanics for advantages, morale, hirelings, magic research, psionics, and more.
