Players direct Union and Confederate forces through attacks, defensive positions, and counter-moves as Grant’s offensive confronts Lee’s entrenched army. The game uses area impulses and a diceless advantage system, allowing players to spend an advantage for specific benefits rather than rerolling dice. A map, counters, and rules covering the battle and its historical context are included.
