A post-apocalyptic 1968 conflict unfolds in former German territory, where factions emerging from the nuclear holocaust fight for control of a devastated landscape. Players command platoon-sized units—tanks, infantry, helicopters and other vehicles—organized into formations led by commanders. Formations activate via chit draw; better-trained or better-led formations may activate multiple times while others might not activate at all. Each activation allows movement, shooting and close combat as players maneuver to seize objectives, exploit activation advantages, and manage the unpredictable turn structure amid the ruined terrain and competing factions.
