Set in the Pacific Rim universe, the game begins on January 1, 2016, after the Breach opens in the Pacific Ocean and releases kaiju from the Anteverse. With the Jaeger Project developing giant robots to combat the growing threat, players make choices that shape their path through a branching choose-your-own-adventure story.
