Soccer City

A turn-based football simulation that models actions from passing and dribbling to shots and goalkeeper saves. Players control two teams of eleven on a large pitch and resolve events by playing cards from several decks—ball movement, offensive and defensive actions, shots on goal, goalkeeper saves, and external factors—while a referee die adjudicates certain outcomes. Play alternates between attacker and defender. An attacking turn proceeds through four optional phases (ball passing/advancement, attacking/tactical actions, shot on goal, and team repositioning); the defensive turn follows with defensive/tactical actions and repositioning. Tactical pads and a scoring track record formations and results throughout the match.
