In the ancient land of Yar-Ammon, the desert city of Khadis stands beneath a colossal faceless sphinx, with empty altars, forbidden secrets, and hungry beasts gathering outside the gates. Royal intrigues, an old king’s troubled legacy, and the sinister priests of Zothur draw adventurers into the city’s mysteries. This sword-and-sorcery adventure for characters of levels 2–3 combines wilderness travel, palace intrigue, and exploration of forbidden underground vaults. It includes regional, city, and dungeon maps, new monsters and creature templates, and setting details on the lands, races, and cults of the World of Xoth. The adventure can be played as a short standalone scenario or expanded into a longer series, and can be adapted to other fantasy roleplaying systems.
