The Game: Face to Face

Two players compete to discard all cards by playing on shared ascending and descending piles. Each player holds six cards and must play at least two each turn, placing cards according to ascending/descending rules on their own piles. Once per turn a player may instead play a single card on an opponent’s pile, ignoring the usual sequence constraints; this move shifts that pile away from its limit and can indirectly aid the opponent while advancing the active player’s hand management. Rounds continue until one player empties their hand or the game becomes stuck.
