Three Ring Circus (5E)

A 5th Edition mini-dungeon for 3–5 characters of levels 14–16. The characters enter a city where a once-moderate ruler became tyrannical after his marriage, declared war on allies and enemies, and was eventually captured and sentenced under martial law. When reports from the Underworld suggest that the official story is incomplete, the ruler’s remaining allies ask the characters to rescue him in exchange for a king’s ransom. The adventure focuses on uncovering what happened, confronting the forces holding him, and escaping with the truth—and the promised reward.
