Players are detectives racing against a 48-hour clock to solve a murder in Echo Ridge City. They move around the city collecting secret evidence — murder weapon, forensics, getaway vehicle — while other crimes and events demand attention and consume precious time. Evidence is examined with a decoder system that keeps much of the killer’s information hidden; revealed clues eliminate suspects and point to the true perpetrator. The game supports competitive, cooperative, and solo modes as players balance investigating crimes, resolving city events to gain alibis and special cards, and making a final accusation in the last hour.
