This expansion adds new components and options to the base game, introducing alternate strategies and setup changes. Players gain 52 new cards that expand available actions and development paths, plus new assistant tiles with unique abilities to differentiate each underwater nation. Starting resource tiles let players begin with construction already in progress, accelerating early play by roughly one round. New player boards and reprinted upgraded boards support several variants, while green metropolises provide variant-specific benefits and fresh strategic choices. A communal museum mechanism lets players discover and display artifacts to score prestige for their nations.
