Players act as Viking chieftains managing a village, harvesting resources, drafting and playing cards, and building temples across different god-domains. Turns consist of phases for rolling dice to gather rare materials, exploring and scavenging with card plays, and deploying actions to advance objectives. Temples grant divine abilities and access to more powerful spells while enemies and godly weapons threaten the tribe; players must defend, fight, and allocate shields and resources. Followers are gained by building and using abilities, and the player with the most followers at game end ascends Yggdrasil and claims victory.
