Desert Duel: A Most Bitter Blow / Fighting Hard

A two-game set covering separate North African battles of World War II: Operation Battleaxe in June 1941 and the Battle of Matruh in June 1942. Both games use chit-pull mechanics, with counters representing companies, columns, battalions, and regiments. Operation Battleaxe lasts six turns of 12 hours each, while the Battle of Matruh lasts nine turns of eight hours each, depicting the fighting across maps scaled to the desert terrain.
