Eight-Minute Empire: Legends
Players build a small empire across a compact, modular map by placing armies and founding cities to control regions and continents. On each turn a player buys one of six face-up cards, immediately using its action—movement, production, city founding, or other special effects—and pays increasing costs to acquire more powerful options. Cards grant unique abilities and belong to thematic sets that score points at game end. Play emphasizes card-driven actions, area majority control, and set collection. Games run quickly and include variants and modular layouts for replayability.

Evan4,6 Just like Eight Minute Empire, this game is a thrilling abstraction of everything I love about area control games. This game adds a lot of additional flavor and new mechanics on top of it, making this a varied and interesting experience. Still light, still quick. I enjoy how the designers removed how every card auto-scores which is the case in the original EME. It gives me a reason to hold onto both games.
