Golem

Players act as rabbis in 16th-century Prague who study ancient books, craft artifacts, and create clay golems to influence the city. The game runs over four rounds; each round players draw marbles from a synagogue apparatus to trigger five action lines that provide clay, coins, knowledge, work activations, or flexible mirror actions. Collected marbles and their colors determine resource gains and student movement across neighborhood tracks used to keep golems under control. Players build engine elements on personal boards, move golems through districts to gain bonuses, cast spells, and assemble artifact and book collections. Uncontrolled golems can rampage and must be destroyed, and scoring at the end tallies golems (active or buried), artifacts, books, developments, and objectives.

Pytania o zasady

Odpowiedzi z instrukcji od asystenta zasad Ludoya.

Do I have to use all my Golem movement steps during the Golem Movement phase?

Yes — you must use all steps and may distribute them among your Golems as you wish; if a Golem is on final section X and you cannot use movement, you lose 5 VP per unused movement up to a maximum per Golem. (page 7)

When I take a marble, how is the action value determined and do my Students move?

Select any one marble; the action value equals the number of marbles in that line before you took it, and colored marbles move a Student in the matching district 1 step (white moves none, black moves two different Students 1 step each). (page 8)

Can more than one player place a Rabbi on the same Action tile, and how does that affect next round's turn order?

Each Action tile may have only one Rabbi except the lowest permanent action space, which can hold any number; the order of Rabbis on the tiles (top to bottom, and left-to-right on the lowest space) sets the player turn order for the next round. (page 12)

If I create a Golem with the Golem action, can I activate it in the same Work action?

No — you cannot activate a Golem you have just created during the Work action. (page 9)

When I buy a Book, which bonuses do I get and where can I tuck it?

You must tuck the bought Book into a column of matching color (columns cannot share colors and have a size limit from your Study track); you receive the card's immediate bonus first, then all active bonuses in that column from bottom to top, and black Books may count as any color. (page 11)

How do I calculate Knowledge cost in the Golem Control phase and what if I can't pay?

For each Golem you pay 1 Knowledge for each section the Golem is ahead of the Student in that same district (count the Golem's section but not the Student's); if you can't fully pay, spend what you have and lose 5 VP for each Golem you cannot afford to control. (page 13)
