Dracula

To move by railway you must spend a ticket token (gained with the Reserve a Ticket action) and use the value on its face to determine how many rail links you may travel; after moving the token is returned facedown to the pool. If you move using only white railways you use the white value, but if you move using yellow railways or a mix you use the yellow value (a ticket without a yellow number cannot be used for yellow railways). During day you draw from the top of the event deck (hunter-icon cards go to hunters; Dracula-icon cards are placed facedown in the discard pile), while during night you draw from the bottom (hunter-icon cards go to the hunter, Dracula-icon cards go to Dracula). (p. 7)

If you end your movement on a hideout Dracula may choose to ambush by revealing and resolving one encounter card there (discarding it afterward), or he may refrain and you may instead perform a Search action to resolve the encounter effects (both ignore the matured effects). (p. 12)

If a hunter ends movement on the city that matches the location card on the first space of Dracula’s trail, Dracula is revealed and his figure is placed on the board; combat then occurs at the next dawn or dusk. Dracula cannot be revealed while he is on a sea zone. (p. 12)

Each combat round both sides secretly choose a card and reveal it; if Dracula’s combat card icon matches a highlighted icon on the hunter’s banner the Dracula card is canceled and has no effect, otherwise its effect resolves and then the hunter’s card resolves if not canceled. Combat continues round-by-round until one of several end conditions occurs (e.g., Dracula has played six combat cards, Dracula advances influence to space 13, hunters defeat Dracula, all involved hunters are bitten/defeated/escaped, or Dracula resolves an allowed Escape card). When bitten a hunter places a bite token on his sheet and becomes WEAKENED, which forces him to keep one event and one item card revealed; if a hunter has no space to place a bite token he is defeated. When a hunter is defeated he discards his event and item cards, returns damage/bite/ticket tokens to the pool, and at dawn is placed on a hospital space as described in the rules. (p. 13)
