Infection: Humanity's Last Gasp

Players act as directors of a plague control field office responding to a newly emerged, rapidly mutating virus. They hire lab personnel, acquire equipment and allocate funding to research parts of the pathogen and assemble vaccine components from randomly generated protein tiles. Gameplay combines personnel and equipment card effects with dice-based containment checks and status-event cards that introduce complications. Casualties and a rising death-toll track increase stress and force riskier actions; failed containment rolls advance the outbreak toward loss. The game supports solo play and emphasizes resource management, worker selection and tactical sequencing under time pressure.
