Smash Up: The Obligatory Cthulhu Set

A crossover of Lovecraftian horror and faction-based deckbuilding follows cultists, Innsmouth locals, Elder Things, and university investigators as distinct factions vying for control of bases. Players combine two factions into a single deck, play minions and actions to score points by claiming bases, and leverage faction synergies to outscore opponents. This set adds a new card type, Madness, that grants powerful effects while imposing penalties or risks when used. Cards in the expansion mix with existing faction decks, letting players create unconventional combinations and introduce cosmic-horror mechanics into standard gameplay.

This expansion was a pain in the ass for me. I really like Cthulhu theme, but this one adds a new deck to the table and makes the game so slow and ugly. I never play Smash Up with the Cthulhu factions.
