Players take the role of nobles in late-11th-century Toledo, working to develop the city’s districts through science, culture and trade while managing relations among Christian, Jewish and Muslim communities. On a turn players allocate actions to expand buildings, recruit specialists, advance technologies and generate income, while each decision affects cultural mixing and influence. Victory points come from urban development, scholarly and commercial achievements, and from fostering intercommunal harmony that attracts royal favor. The game uses resource management, worker-placement and area-influence mechanics, and ends after a set number of rounds when the player with the most combined civic and cultural achievements wins.
