Players take on roles from the anime as the Straw Hat crew split into three mission teams and travel the board to recruit allies, confront villains, and secure the Thousand Sunny. Movement around the board lands players on character spaces where they can buy or trade locations, collect or pay rent, and develop properties into stronger bases. Special chest and flag cards introduce events tied to battles and story moments that change fortunes. Play proceeds through trading, property management, and tactical use of cards until one player controls enough assets to eliminate opponents.
