Catan Geographies: Settlers of Hesse

Players settle medieval Hesse, a region shaped by the interactions of Celts, Romans, and Germans. The fixed map represents the approximate locations of real geographic features and cities, including Wiesbaden and Frankfurt am Main. The game follows the standard settlement, road, resource, and trading systems, with regional changes. Cities can only be built at designated historical locations, the usual spacing rule does not apply between some closely placed cities, and roads cannot continue from a settlement hex until a settlement has been built there. Harbor access requires building a road along a marked hexside.
