Constructo

An abstract two-player strategy game about building towers on a board of nine hexagonal tiles. Players receive three types of pieces and take one action per turn: place a piece on an empty space or move a piece onto an adjacent opposing piece according to the game’s rules. The aim is to have one of a player’s pieces on top of as many towers as possible, regardless of who built them. The game ends when a player can no longer place or move a piece, after which the scored towers are counted.

An interesting abstract game with very limited distribution. PROS - The modular board means that lots of very different games can be played. - The ruleset is SUPER simple while being deep enough to be enjoyable. - Games are really short and it's a little game, which makes it a perfect candidate to be carried around. CONS - The first games can be confusing. Players have to control both positioning and timing, as the game ends when no more movements are available. - Each different piece has "a role". When players get to know them, some moves are almost automatic, as it happens with many other abstract games.
