A miniatures-driven survival game set in cramped catacombs beneath a ruined city. One player commands a handful of human characters with unique dashboards and abilities; the other fields a numerically superior force of demonic creatures. Games use large dungeon tiles, counters and dice; players roll and allocate dice to take actions, use cards and special abilities, and resolve combat through simple dice checks. Play is scenario-based, with humans pursuing objectives like escaping or closing portals while demons attempt to stop them. Rules are lean and asymmetric, emphasizing resource management, tactical choices, and a tense, climactic finish in about an hour.
