Everdell: Newleaf

Everdell: Newleaf

A bustling city welcomes new arrivals via a newly opened train station. Players expand their tableau with new critter and construction cards, recruit Visitors, and pursue special Events to score points. The game adds a Train Station board and resource-bearing Train Cars that deliver goods, along with Ticket cards that reward travel and Reservation tokens that hold spots for future plays. Mechanics integrate with existing city-building decisions: manage resources, time actions during seasons, and plan routes to attract incoming visitors and complete events.

Regelspørgsmål

Besvaret ud fra regelbogen af Ludoyas regelassistent.

Do Station cards count as Meadow cards?

They work like Meadow cards for playing, but they are not Meadow cards, so abilities that affect Meadow cards—such as the Inn—do not apply to them (p. 6).

When do I get the Train Car reward for playing a Station card?

Resolve the card and any effects it triggers first, then take the reward from its Train Car tile. Replace the tile and refill the Station card afterward (p. 6).

How do I get a Visitor, and when does it score?

Place a worker on the Station, choose a faceup Visitor to discard, take one of the two faceup Visitors for your city, then claim a Train Car reward. The Visitor scores its listed points only if your city meets its requirement at game end (p. 7).

Can I use a regular occupied token to play a Newleaf card?

Normally, no: Newleaf Critters and Constructions with a golden banner require a Golden occupied token. The exception is playing a Newleaf Critter with a normal token on the Ever Tree; you can have at most three Golden occupied tokens, and you do not get one back if its card is discarded (p. 8).

Can I use a Ticket to move a worker off a permanent location?

No. Tickets cannot move a Frog Ambassador, Big Critter, or worker on a permanent location; the new placement must also follow normal worker-placement rules, and you activate that location as usual (p. 9).

Can I combine the Reservation discount with another card-playing ability?

No. A reserved card costs one fewer of any resource, but when playing it you may use either that discount or another card-playing ability—not both (p. 9).
