Everdell

Players lead a growing community of woodland creatures, developing a city of constructions and critters beneath ancient trees. On each turn a player either places a worker on common board locations, events, or destination cards to gather resources, draw cards, or trigger special actions; plays cards into a personal tableau of buildings and characters that produce resources, grant abilities, and score points; or prepare for the next season by retrieving workers and gaining additional ones. The game cycles through seasons, and players balance resource management, card synergies, and timing to build the most valuable city by the end of winter.

What did I miss? The tree is totally useless and doesn't make it better regarding the theme. There is not much theme in this game. There is so much luck, especially the starting hand. We were 3 players, 2 of us had bad luck with the starting hand (no combos), the other player had luck and could make many combos and played much longer in the first phase than the other 2 did. So it was already clear who will win even before we entered spring phase... The main thing is about to get cards which will get you ressources and matching buildings with creatures. If you can't get those you're out. No chance against other who can build such combos. And building those is pure luck. The cards look nice, but that doesn't make a good game. And it's a multiplayer solitaire par excellence! Nobody cares what the other do. Nej — på din tur må du kun tage én handling: Placér en arbejder, spil et kort eller forbered dig til sæsonen; spillet går med uret med én handling pr. tur (side 8).

Når jeg gør mig klar til en sæson, kommer mine arbejdere så tilbage, og hvornår får jeg de nye sæsonarbejdere/bonusser?

Når du Forbereder dig til en sæson, henter du alene alle dine udsendte arbejdere tilbage, og får derefter de nye arbejdere samt sæsonens angivne bonus (forår: +1 arbejder og aktivér grøn Produktion; sommer: +1 arbejder og må trække op til 2 Meadow; efterår: +2 arbejdere og aktivér grøn Produktion) (sider 12–13).

Hvis jeg spiller en Critter gratis, fordi jeg har dens tilknyttede Construction, skal jeg så betale noget, og hvad er den optagne token til?

Du må spille den Critter uden at betale den angivne pris, men du skal placere en besat brik på den tilhørende Konstruktion, når du gør det — hver Konstruktion kan kun bruges på denne måde én gang (side 10).

Tæller Event-kort med i min bygrænse på 15 kort?

Nej — din by har maksimalt 15 kortpladser til spillede kort, og Event-kort, som du opnår, placeres ved siden af din by og tæller ikke med i grænsen på 15 kort (side 11).

Kan andre spillere placere arbejdere på mine Destinationskort, og hvad sker der, hvis de gør?

Ja — modstandere må placere en arbejder på Destination-kort, der viser OPEN-symbolet; når de besøger en Destination i din by, får ejeren 1 pointtoken fra forsyningen (side 9).
