Richard Berg's classic about the Indian Wars in America, a tragic period of U.S.–Indian conflict. Each turn, players are assigned either the U.S. side or control of several Indian tribes, with some tribal forces selected and others dealt randomly. The U.S. player deploys limited troops and columns while developing settlements, towns, railroads, and mines to maintain states and convert territories. Indian players use guerrilla tactics to earn victory points and disrupt U.S. resources, while avoiding casualties that can place tribes on reservations or drive them to extinction.
