Gold Country

Players act as investors and operators in California’s Gold Rush, developing mining companies and sending prospectors to uncover gold veins. On each turn players buy and sell shares, develop mine locations, and spend money on ability cards that alter market and mining actions. Share values change as mines are discovered and developed, creating shifting incentives and tactical opportunities. The game ends when all gold veins are found; the player with the most wealth wins. Gameplay emphasizes stock-market manipulation, timing of investments, and adapting tactics to evolving map and player actions.
