The Curse of the Maldita Diamond

Players simultaneously reveal challenge cards and race to find and pick up matching gems from a common pool of 65 differently shaped and colored stones, including one large purple jewel. A round ends when a player collects all gems indicated by their cards; that player must take the purple jewel, then each player scores correct cards into their point pool while incorrect cards are discarded and unfinished sets carry over as bonuses to the next round. The player holding the purple jewel receives a curse card and plays the following round with a handicap; optional event rules add physical dexterity challenges to the play.

The richest and oldest inhabitant of a small town has left his entire inheritance to the town’s people. But you have to be careful, because the brightest jewel of all gives off a strange magic. In La Morada Maldita (The Cursed Abode) we will have to get more jewels than the rest of the players, but trying not to fall into any of its traps! We will start the game by displaying all the jewels on the table, within everyone's reach, with the large purple jewel in the middle. Each player will receive their challenge cards, which they will place face down in front of them. All players will turn their first card at the same time and will have to find the jewel that matches the conditions of the challenge shown on their card. When doing so, they will pick it up, put it on the card, and then turn the next one, continuing until they complete all their challenges. Then they will have to grab the big jewel in the centre before the rest, putting an end to the round. The successful and failed challenges of each player will be reviewed, adding points for the first or discarding the cards from the second, and those not completed will be placed in the centre for whoever wins the next round. In addition, the player who has won the current round will take a curse card, which will apply an added difficulty in the next round. Whoever has achieved the most points at the end of all rounds will win. La Morada Maldita is a game for the whole family, easy to learn and with which we have had very fun times. Add the events variant on top of it, which affects everyone equally, and the game becomes truly crazy! La Morada Maldita is for you if you like: - Visual speed games. Ideal for enhancing the acuity of the little ones! - Games in which every round is a different kind of crazy. La Morada Maldita is NOT for you if: - You only play relaxed games. Not a second of rest with this one! Curse, curse, and thrice curse!
