Opération Commando: Pegasus Bridge

Set during the night of 5–6 June 1944, the game recreates three missions carried out by British airborne forces before the Normandy Landings. One player commands the British troops while the other directs the German defenders. Each scenario uses its own battlefield layout, cards, and objectives. Players draw from separate decks, play events, and resolve assaults by committing units and increasing their combat values with cards and tokens. British losses reduce their manpower and may end an assault, while German units can be replaced as long as the battlefield allows. Heroic cards, chosen secretly every two turns, represent historical officers and events and provide powerful, uncounterable effects. The three scenarios cover the capture of Pegasus Bridge, the assault on the Merville Gun Battery, and the destruction of bridges over the Dives. They can be played separately or as a campaign, with results determining the final outcome of the operation.
