In 780 B.C., rival groups struggle for control of the land that will become Rome. Players build a changing board from tiles and place soldiers, merchants, and farmers to influence the Seven Hills. Soldiers capture revolting farmers, merchants and farmers compete to dominate hills, and farmers gain benefits from nearby springs. Each inhabitant’s value depends on the number and type of surrounding inhabitants, with control of hills and fame determining the winner.
