Puerto Rico
Players take the roles of plantation owners in the age of sail, growing up to five crop types—corn, indigo, sugar, tobacco, and coffee—and managing production, storage, and sales. Each round players take unique roles from a shared pool; the chosen role triggers a phase everyone performs while granting the chooser an extra benefit. Players construct buildings, assign colonists, ship goods for victory points, and use the building market and shipping opportunities to optimize their engine. The winner is the player with the most victory points from shipping and building when the game ends.
