Stone Age: The Expansion

Adds adornments and trading to the base game as players craft jewelry and ornaments from raw materials and bring them to a merchant. Includes new village locations, cards, and huts, and components to support a fifth player. Gameplay integrates the new resource types and merchant actions into the worker placement and resource-conversion systems of the original game.

Regelspørgsmål

Besvaret ud fra regelbogen af Ludoyas regelassistent.

Can I use jewelry as food or as a wild resource?

No. Jewelry is neither food nor a resource, cannot feed a person or pay a wild-resource cost, and is worth no endgame points; spend it only where a jewelry symbol appears (p. 4).

At the hunting grounds, how do I decide whether I get food or jewelry?

Roll one die per figure there, then divide the total pips by 2 and round down. For each resulting item, choose either 1 food or 1 jewelry (p. 6).

Do I have to visit the merchant to trade, and how often can I trade?

No: you can trade without placing figures at the merchant, but your merchant-track marker must have moved off space 0. You may trade only once per round, and only to get items needed to buy a Civilization card or building (p. 5).

How many figures do I need at the merchant, and how much jewelry do I get?

You must place exactly 2 figures there. When resolving the merchant, return both figures and advance 2 spaces on the merchant track; you gain exactly 2 jewelry whenever you advance on that track, regardless of how many spaces you move (p. 5).

How do I take the Civilization card in the new fifth space?

Pay 3 jewelry, return the figure placed there, and take the card; you immediately receive its top-of-card bonus. Immediately afterward, you may spend another 3 jewelry for the top card of the face-down deck, but that extra card is for final scoring only and gives no bonus (pp. 6–7).

With fewer than five players, can we use every village area in the same round?

No. With 4 players, only 3 of the tool maker, hut, field, and merchant areas may be occupied; with 2 or 3 players, only 2 may be occupied. Which areas remain vacant depends on the areas players choose that round (p. 7).
