The Battle of Cowpens

A tactical simulation of the January 1781 American Revolutionary War battle of Cowpens. American units begin deployed on the map, with cavalry entering from off-map, while British forces arrive on designated turns during the first nine turns. Each turn alternates between the opposing sides. Players conduct fire and movement, designate bayonet assaults, resolve defensive fire, and then resolve the assaults using a combat-results table. Units have attack, defense, movement, and range ratings. Victory points are awarded for destroyed units, with 10 more points than the opponent required for a win; smaller margins result in a draw.
