Three Sisters

Manage a backyard garden of corn, beans, and pumpkins across eight rounds using a roll-and-write system. Each round, dice are rolled, grouped, and placed on a circular action wheel; players draft dice to plant or water numbered zones and to take one of several wheel actions. Planting fills crop tracks in six garden zones, while watering advances existing crops; beans may only be planted where adjacent corn is tall enough to support them. Wheel actions include gaining compost and goods, advancing hives and fruit tracks, visiting the farmer’s market for points, and unlocking tools in the shed. Perennials advance indirectly and many tracks yield harvest circles that generate goods and unlock bonuses. A solo variant simulates an opponent that drafts dice and blocks areas.

An excelent game, one of my favourite mechanic (roll and write), you can achieve a lot of combos, I love this game.

Regelspørgsmål

Besvaret ud fra regelbogen af Ludoyas regelassistent.

If I take a die from the rondel, do I get both the garden action and the rondel action? Can I pick the order?

Yes — when you choose a die you take both the garden action and the rondel action, and you may resolve them in either order (pg. 4–5).

After everyone picks a die, which die do we all use simultaneously?

After all players choose, all players simultaneously use the lowest remaining die on the rondel, taking both its garden and rondel actions (pg. 4).

Can I adjust a die value with compost or Iris bonuses, and does that adjusted value apply to both actions?

Yes — you may spend compost (+/-1 per compost, multiple compost allowed, values wrap 6↔1) and Iris bonuses to change a die’s value, and if your rondel action is Plant or Water the adjusted value must be applied to both the garden and rondel actions (pg. 11, 16).

Can I plant beans right away, or are there restrictions?

You cannot plant a bean until the neighboring corn is at least two boxes tall, so beans must wait until adjacent corn has been advanced (pg. 4, 7).

What do goods stars on the goods track do and where can I spend the resulting bonus actions?

Filling a star on the goods track grants a bonus action you spend immediately to fill the next empty box in perennials, apiary, fruit, or shed (you may not spend bonus actions in the garden) (pg. 11).

When I complete the main hive in the apiary, what changes for future apiary actions?

Completing the main hive unlocks three new subsections (Wax, Honey, Split Hive) that must be filled bottom-to-top, and you may split subsequent apiary actions among those sections as you like; filling circles there grants harvests, actions, or end‑game points as listed (pg. 8–9).
