Tikal II: The Lost Temple
Scientists return to Tikal after discovering a scroll that points to a lost temple in a nearby valley. Players guide expeditions around the site to select actions, then move their head scientist through the temple to explore rooms and uncover gold. Players score by collecting and delivering treasures, gaining majorities in rooms, and exploring the main temple and a hidden outer chamber. Limited actions and required items make movement and planning important. The game is played over two rounds, with scoring after each round, and the player with the most gold wins.

Evan4,6 In this game you start your turn moving your boat round the board like a giant roundel and take an action tile. Once that resolves, you can move your meeple through the temple and collect points based on where you end your movement and place your flag. The game has a number of interesting strategies, as you need keys to walk through doors, but you can also chose to bank those keys so they score for you twice per game. There are treasure tiles you can try to collect or sell, or you can try to pile on getting flags in all the rooms of the same color for big points. The game walks the line of trying to carve out your own scoring niche while keeping a close eye on what other players are going for and stopping them where you can. ★ Art, Iconography and components functional ★ Clever or interesting mechanisms ★ Reasonably low downtime between turns with mildly AP players ☆ Multiple plays stay interesting ★ Low or mitigatable luck elements ★★★☆☆ Raw enjoyment
