Fortress Berlin

A two-player tactical and operational simulation of the final major battle in Europe during World War II. Players command historical German and Soviet units, along with optional forces that might have participated, as they fight for control of Berlin and its inner defenses. The map covers central Berlin from Treptow to Spandau and from Wedding-Pankow to Mariendorf-Zehlendorf. Each turn represents one day, with units ranging from companies to divisions and a map scale of approximately 500 yards per hex. The game has medium complexity, strong solitaire suitability, and an estimated playing time of 12 hours.
