In 1122, abbots of monasteries belonging to Cluny manage their communities during a difficult economic period. Each round, monasteries produce a yield and deliver it to Cluny, where the revenue supports the monks. Players compete for the highest delivery to gain Glory, while lower deliveries provide more thalers for investment in monastery development. They must balance immediate victory points against the resources needed to strengthen their monastery, while competing for position on the road to Cluny.
