Don't Mess with Cthulhu

Players have secret roles as either Investigators trying to uncover Elder Signs or Cultists working to reveal Cthulhu. The game runs over four rounds; each round players receive a hand of Investigation cards, look at them privately, shuffle them facedown, then take turns revealing cards from other players' piles during a fixed number of actions. If Cthulhu is revealed, the Cultists win immediately; if all Elder Signs are found before Cthulhu appears, the Investigators win. Lost games give Insanity tokens and repeated plays use those tokens to determine overall winners. Optional expansions add extra cards and roles that change win conditions and information available to players.
