Players act as competing guilds in a growing capital, recruiting notable citizens and expanding a guildhall to win royal favor. Each week guilds place tents in the central square to recruit characters by paying gifts, balancing immediate costs against long-term benefits from members’ abilities and income. Players also spend resources to add rooms and luxury to their headquarters, matching the King’s shifting preferences to score points. Gameplay combines drafting and resource management as players acquire people, manage silver and gold, and develop their halls across rounds to claim the most influential standing by game end.
