Units represent varying tactical scales from small assault groups to larger formations; scenarios specify unit scale and historical deployments. Movement and activation use a Command card system that creates limited information and forces timed coordination, while dice resolve combat and Combat cards introduce tactical surprises. Players plan infantry advances, artillery support, and combined-arms maneuvers to achieve scenario objectives across multiple historical engagements.
