Trans-Siberian Railroad

Players buy and manage shares in four rival railroad companies as the network expands across Russia from Moscow eastward. On a turn, a player can buy one or two shares (paying into a railroad’s treasury), build one or two links or an external link for a railroad they control, or pass. Building adds link values to a railroad’s income, can increase stock value, and may require payments to other railroads when jumping existing links. Timing advances when certain actions are taken; when the timing token hits the payout point, railroads pay dividends based on their income and issued shares. The game progresses through a second phase with additional companies and a nationalization mechanism that removes weak railroads. Play ends when endgame conditions are met and players total cash plus stock value to determine the winner.
